Bought these from Crave Cupcakes over in the Galleria area.  Maybe it’s the beginning of my mid-life crisis?!

Cigar Review - Romeo y Julieta Habana Reserve Belicoso

Romeo y Julieta was probably the first line of cigars I really started to like when I began my “smoking years” at the tender age of 21.  They always remind me of how I was brought into the world of smoke and leaves (and by that, I mean the legal kind).  Since, I have found countless other brands that have I have been rather exclusive with, but since I’ve been experiencing a broader appeal for medium/full body cigars, I felt a need to re-visit with a brand I’ve always regarded as elite. You: What did you do today?

Cigar Review - Kinky Friedman Kinkycristo

Ok I’m aware that this is most likely a publicity endorsement/stunt done by Mr. Friedman, but when I was given this cigar, it actually looked like it could be a good smoke.  Well, it has a nice looking band……   **crickets chirping from dead silence**

In 2007, Kinky Friedman unveiled a new line of cigars.  He is an avid cigar smoker and has been one for many years.  Even though cigars aren’t really an endorsed product, you would think that his years of experience would conclude he’d endorse something that had a chance in the marketplace. Cigar Review - Carlos Torano Signature Collection Toro

Ok I know I’ve been slacking on the reviews, but I managed to sneak in a little vacation time before the arrival of our 2nd kid.  So I thought I’d get back into the swing of things by reviewing a very well regarded cigar, the Carlos Torano Signature Collection Toro. (more…)
