I have about 15 hours until we go into the hospital and start the next phase of our lives. Tomorrow our 2nd child and first girl will be born. I’ve been anxious, nervous, happy, sad, etc. Everything I assume most new parents go through, and most of which I went through in some degree when we had our son. Lindsee, a.k.a SuperMom had been really great, especially dealing with almost simultaneous birthdays for myself and our new baby girl. With birthdays a day apart, I’m sure she’ll feel the stress in years to come. I’ve always expressed that I don’t really enjoy celebrating my birthday because of the guilt I feel for people going through so much trouble for me. I’ll be sure to send/blog details on the upcoming arrival with plenty of pictures and videos.

Cigar Review - NUB Cameroon 460
The Nub cigar brand is a new brand of cigars with an interesting background. Sam Leccia use to be a cigar sales rep for Olivia Cigar Co. He had an idea of creating a cigar that represented the “best part of the cigar.” Which is essentially the nub of the cigar, which some refer to as the most enjoyable part of the cigar or the “sweet spot.” The sweet spot is considered to be at the 3 ½” or 4” mark of the cigar. So no NUB cigar is longer than 4 inches. (more…)

For years, offshore accounts have been used for a variety of reasons. Some of which are for privacy, less legal restriction, low or no taxation, easy access for deposits, and protection against local political or financial instability. (more…)

Cigar Review - Carlos Torano Casa Torano
The Torano family has been associated with cigars dating back to the early 1900’s. They typically build in the mild to medium body range and are known more for their complex blends. The Carlos Torano Casa Torano is what they have called as the “house blend.” By this they mean that this is what the family smokes on an everyday basis. It was rolled exclusively for the family and at a select few events to demonstrate the Torano specialty leaves. It’s priced very fair, and has a mild to medium blend of a Connecticut seed Ecuadorian wrapper and the family’s specially crafted filler that comprises tobaccos from all over Central and South America. Accountants Celebrate! No New Accounting Rules for 3 Years?!
That sounds like sweet music to my ears! Of course, the SEC has yet to suggest a date by which U.S. companies have to adopt IFRS rules, and the thought of such a massive switch is the current topic of discussion at some of the hard partying accounting functions in the country (think fraternity keg party with calculators and sheep).
